Leonor Antunes uses as a departing point three gold coins minted in Brazil in 1785, 1787 and 1790 under Queen Maria I. Then she photographs a gold mine still in use, Mine of the Passage, and Brazil wood, known as other “gold from Brazil” in the 18th Century by the Portuguese colonial rulers.
